How do I find an NHS Dentist? 

PALS has up to date details of dentists taking on new NHS patients and approximate waiting times for appointments. You can contact PALS on 0800 073 1106. You can also use the NHS Choices website - or use the search box on the right of this page.

How can I check the quality and the safety of the care being provided by a dentist in my area?

The Care Quality Commission will only register dental practices (NHS and Private but excluding dental services provided by hospitals) that meet strict standards of quality and safety. For more information and to find out which practices in your area are registered click here


How do I register with a local GP?

NHS Choices can give details of local practices if you input your postcode. This will also give you details on the registration policy for the particular practice.


How do I make a complaint about NHS services?


Contact PALS who will provide details of the appropriate complaints department.


How much will I be charged for my dental treatment?

There are three bands for NHS dental charges. If you have specific concerns, contact PALS who will be able to provide more information.


How do I get my appointment brought forward for Community Physiotherapy I have been told it will be 16 weeks?


There is a waiting time for appointments but if your situation has changed since your referral then you can contact the Physiotherapy department on 0151 300 8080. Alternatively PALS can do this for you.
