Public consultations

Public consultations involve seeking views from members of the public about their health services, particularly where there are any plans to implement changes to NHS services. We believe is important that the local population is involved in deciding how health services develop so we spend a great deal of time finding out what people think. All public consultations are conducted in line with statutory guidelines and members of the public and other stakeholders are also consulted for their views.

One of the largest public consultations we ever conducted sought the views of the city on the 'New Health Service for Liverpool'. The process started with a wide-ranging year-long consultation called The Big Health Debate, which involved Liverpool patients, GPs, and other stakeholders. Please click here for more details.

Current consultations

Information about current consultations will be included in this section as and when they are announced. If you would like more information about how to participate in any future neighbourhood and city-wide public consultations, please contact the Stakeholder Engagement team on 0151 296 7353.
